Roof Coverings
Our company specialises in natural stone roofing, supplying and laying slabs sourced both in Italy and abroad. To meet a wide range of customer needs, we offer a broad selection of slate and quartzite in different colours, formats and thicknesses. Our qualified staff will help you choose the best type of roofing and provide a tailored quote.
Roofing with cut-to-size worked slabs
This type of cut-to-size roofing is particularly well suited to modern buildings. The slabs are worked on the three visible edges, pre-drilled for nailing, and easy to lay on either boarding or suitable battens. They can be supplied in standard formats or, on request, in different shapes and sizes. A key feature of these slabs is that they can also be laid on roofs with a shallow pitch.
Roofing with irregular rough-cut slabs
Roofing made from rough-hewn slabs is typically thicker than that using cut-to-size slabs and features large, irregular shapes. To be installed, these slabs require edge finishing specifically, bush-hammering and must be drilled to allow for subsequent nailing. Installation can follow regular or irregular courses, or a diamond pattern. This type of roofing offers striking visual appeal and is particularly well-suited to mountain buildings.
Roofing with reclaimed slabs
Roofs made with reclaimed slabs are an alternative choice, often favoured by customers who want to preserve a building’s historic character, or who must comply with the heritage restrictions of certain historic town centres. Roofing can be made entirely from reclaimed slabs, or old material can be combined with similar new slabs.
